The ATBD (Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document) describes the complete development and map production process and algorithms used in MapBiomas Peru Collection 2.0.
The ATBD is a dynamic document that is constantly being updated to add new information and lessons learnt.
There is a General ATBD of MapBiomas Peru with a set of appendices that detail the methodologies for the classification of the cross-cutting themes that were implemented. The methodology of these cross-cutting themes has been developed thanks to the work of RAISG in the Amazon area and in some cases it was adapted to be able to replicate it to the Peruvian territory. These additional adaptations were: the extension of the work area to other mosaic regions; integration of stable samples from other sources; and the inclusion of complementary samples.
