The 3rd edition of the MapBiomas Peru Award aims to promote research and the use of satellite monitoring data to help identify socio-environmental challenges and develop solutions from academia, civil society organizations, and government institutions. We invite you to review the guidelines and submit your work.

This edition features three application categories: 

General Category: Open to researchers, graduate students, technicians, educators, or any professional who uses MapBiomas data or products. The goal of this category is to encourage work across different sectors (private, public, civil society, education, finance, among others). There is no age limit for this category. Youth Category: Open to undergraduate university students or recent graduates under the age of 30. The goal of this category is to encourage young people to use MapBiomas Peru data in their research and projects. Public Policy Category: Open to public officials, civil society, international organizations, or companies that use MapBiomas Peru data or products to contribute to public policy in the country. The goal is to demonstrate the usefulness of the data in the design or implementation of a public policy. There is no age limit for this category. Apply by July 31, 2026.

Public Policies Category: Open to public officials, civil society, international organizations, or companies that use MapBiomas Peru data or products to contribute to public policy in the country.
